One of them owns the unique Gauss rifle, YCS/186.
If the player does not have the Wild Wasteland trait, this spot will be taken by mercenaries. It is possible that the captain escaped the second mothership before it crashed to Earth. These aliens can be assumed to be of the same faction/species as those encountered in the Fallout 3 add-on Mothership Zeta. 
This appears to be the same kind of recon craft that crashed in Fallout 3.
Looking at the ship, it appears to be broken and there are many wires hanging out of the back. The aliens encountered in the Mojave seem to be taller than the Mothership Zeta aliens. He cannot equip it and will use a laser pistol instead. The alien captain will not use the alien blaster against you. The alien captain almost always flees, while as the other 2 aliens will assault the player with laser weapons. These bodyparts will also be red despite the original green color of the alien. 
If an alien's torso explodes, pieces of flesh left will be oversized compared to the original body size. If players kill the captain while hidden the other two aliens will not become hostile unless attacked but instead will stand and look at the player silently, because unlike in Fallout 3, they lack voices. Their captain will always appear hostile, while the other two aliens will not be hostile unless the captain spots the player. Aliens yield only 1 XP and count as abominations. The alien captain however has 16 times more hit points than his mothership Zeta counterpart. These aliens are far more hardy than their cousins in mothership Zeta but have the same amount of hit points. They subsist on a diet of unknown worm and squid food. They seem to breathe a similar atmosphere that humans do and process nutrients through the body with green blood. Their hands have only three long suctioned-cupped fingers and no thumbs, however their fingers are so long they can wrap around objects and use any objects like any other humanoid species. They have very wide mouths, no teeth, a light green tongue and large opaque black eyes with no discernible iris or pupil. Their heads are unusually large in proportion to their bodies and no noticeable outer ears or noses, instead only having small orifices for ears and nostrils. Their legs are shorter and jointed differently than a normal human and their limbs are also proportionally different than a normal humanoid their humerus and femurs are the same lengths as their forearms and tibias. They also display no body hair of any kind. Their bodies are elongated with a small chest, are lean and lack any muscular definition. The three aliens can be found to the north of Horowitz farmstead and east of Brooks Tumbleweed Ranch, with an inaccessible crashed recon craft.Īliens are relatively small, green yellowish-skinned humanoid beings with no primary sex characteristics.
